GI360 (Comprehensive Gut Health)

The Doctor’s Data GI360™ Stool Test is available at Toronto Centre for Naturopathic Medicine.

The GI360™ is one of the most comprehensive gastrointestinal tests available to healthcare practitioners in Ontario.

It is designed to assess a wide range of factors affecting gut health, including the health of your gut microbiome, digestive function and gut inflammation levels.

It is widely used by naturopathic doctors and integrative and functional medicine practitioners to detect the underlying causes of digestive symptoms, and chronic health issues that may have a “root” in gut health.

The GI360™ assesses:

  • “Good bacteria” levels (i.e., microbiome)
  • “Bad bacteria” levels (including viruses, bacteria, parasites, worms, yeasts)
  • Efficiency of digestion and nutrient absorption
  • Presence of inflammation
  • Short-chain fatty acids (i.e., Does your diet support a healthy microbiome?)
  • Susceptibility of “bad bacteria” to a range of natural antimicrobial medicines and antibiotics

The GI360™ may provide useful guidance if you:

  • have unexplained gastrointestinal symptoms
  • suspect an underlying gut imbalance
  • have digestive symptoms that have been resistant to conventional medical treatment
  • have been diagnosed with, or are interested in prevention of any of the range of health conditions linked to microbiome “imbalance”

Health conditions related to imbalance of the microbiome include:

How does the GI360™ work?

The GI360™ is a stool sample.

It uses DNA-based multiplex PCR molecular technology, microscopic examination and biochemical assays to identify a broad spectrum of microbes – both beneficial and pathogenic, and other measurements that are relevant to gut health and function.
